Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a mission programme to provide quality Education to all children in 6-14 age groups. The Right to Education Act at Central level and the proposed J&K Right of Children to Free and compulsory Education Act to be soon introduced in Jammu and Kashmir are primarily aimed at achieving this aim of quality Education as per NCF-2005.
The State has embarked upon a massive teacher training programme for in-service teachers for their capacity building and enhancing their teaching skills so that the learning levels of students are up-graded. The Induction training for newly appointed teachers orients them to a child friendly environment.
Vision for Quality Improvement (Quality parameters) under SSA
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, J&K has formulated the following strategies to address quality concerns, besides provision of infrastructure and human resource for primary education:
